Chemical Peels
What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical exfoliant is carefully applied to the skin in order to improve it's texture and appearance. The peeling solution gently dissolves the bonds between the top layers of skin cells, causing them to exfoliate away and leaving behind a fresh layer of rejuvenated cells. These treatments can help to improve dry, pigmented and dehydrated skin. They also help to improve skin texture and will leave your skin visibly smoother and more radiant.

What to expect
In this clinic, we believe in progressive (not aggressive!) results. Therefore all of our peels are gentle or moderate in strength. There is absolutely no need to give yourself a chemical burn in order to see results! During your appointment your skin will be double cleansed and then a medical grade toner will be used to prepare the skin for the peeling solution. The Peel is then applied thinly across the treatment area. Sometimes multiple layers of Peeling solution are required. You may experience a warm sensation and some 'tingling', but at no point during your treatment should you be uncomfortable. Newer Peeling solutions are formulated in a way that they can penetrate to the deeper layers of skin, without causing irritation. Once your Peel has neutralised your facial will be completed with bespoke skin serums to suit your skin type, moisturiser and then SPF. Depending on the strength of peel you can expect to see increased skin exfoliation over the following week. This can be as mild as a little dryness, or with stronger peels you may get more significant peeling. The strength of Peel used will be determined at your consultation based on your skin concerns. You can expect to see results 1-2 weeks after your treatment.
